Explore the best shipyards in the world
Recognized as one of the most innovative and groundbreaking shipyard, Amels has offered to the industry a number of Limited Editions designs through the last decade. During this long period, the Dutch yacht builder has retired some models in favor of different ones, and it’s doing so once again. Picking up where the Amels 199 left off, Amels is introducing the Amels 206, another beautiful creation designed by Tim Heywood which incorporates many design features that originated on Amels 199. If you remember the Amels 199, specifically EVENT (of which Imperial played a pivotal role in her construction, delivery, management and sale) no doubt her large circular ports come to mind. The newest Limited Editions superyacht design incorporates a similar stylistic approach but with enhancements all round.
The exterior houses a beautiful and functional interior layout with six suites over five decks. The Bridge deck encompasses two VIP Suites, while on Lower deck the large Beach Club has direct access from the Lower deck suites. On Main deck, the large folding balconies port and starboard add to the abundant outdoor spaces while offering natural light and spectacular dining room views. Amels is showing the new exterior design in a rendering with jet-black gloss and silver metallic paint, but owners can create a custom paint scheme in collaboration with designer Tim Heywood. But we are sure you’ll agree with us that the striking silver-metallic and jet-black paint combination in the rendering, sets her apart for all the right reasons in today’s market.
Stretching out at an impressive 206 feet (62.4 meters), the Amels 206 has several additional eye-catching elements. When cruising, she shows off three circular ports on her transom. However, once at anchor, her transformation can begin. First, the swim platform serves as the literal jumping-off point for swimmers. Second, the transom door can swing up to reveal a beach-club lounge, a gym, or whatever other room a client wants. Fully forward, when the helipad isn’t in use, guests can enjoy a C-shape lounge. Furthermore, the Amels 206 has an indoor-outdoor sundeck lounge up top.
The shipyard should unveil more details about the new Amels 206 Limited Editions design in the upcoming weeks or months.
