Oceanco reveals Project AMARA
Officially presented to the yachting industry at the latest edition of the Dubai International Boat Show, the 50-metre all-aluminum concept V-LINE has been revealed in the following renderings from Hot Lab, the Italian studio behind the exterior design and creator of the iconic Mondomarine 49-metre IPANEMA, who was clearly inspired from Baglietto’s ADLER and AL FAHEDI completed in 1987 and 1986 respectively. The rich traditions of Baglietto shipyard have been incorporated into this design, with striking blue topsides and a strong emphasis on horizontal lines. Michael Dragoni, partner and head of style at Hot Lab, said, “The transom, with its strong forward tilt, gives the whole [yacht] a great dynamism.”
The most distinctive element on this yacht, is the high, vertical bow, giving her a dynamic design which draws inspiration from the architecture and the “car design”. Hull engineering has been carried out by Baglietto engineering department. Meanwhile, the dark superstructure wedge forward of the superyacht sundeck is a deliberate nod to the automotive world, specifically the outstanding Lancia Stratos Zero. Hot Lab sought to maximise the amount of space available, while remaining within 500GT. This was achieved by moving the external stairs and ventilation ducts outboard. The main deck owner’s suite makes good use of this space, with a dressing room, office and fold-out superyacht terrace.
Moving further aft and the dining area can be opened up to the elements via three sets of opening windows, creating an al fresco experience. Other star features include a superyacht spa pool on the upper deck, a foredeck tender storage area, and a beach club in the stern that comprises a gym and a Turkish bath. Recognized to be one of the most awaited design to be revealed in the next years, V-LINE concept also counts in her range a 41-meter smaller sistership to be designed and produced.
