Every Lürssen superyacht is fundamentally built with good seakeeping characteristics at its core. AMADEA (106.1m) is no exception. From the beginning, the Owner was determined that his vessel would leave others in the shade. The key to his brief was to make AMADEA one of the most detailed superyachts ever built, requiring millions of hours spent on creating and assembling. François Zuretti combines opulence and intimacy when designing the interior. The elegant furniture is an authentic representation of the 18th century. With hand-painted clouds on the ceiling above the dining table, mirroring Michelangelo’s style. The interior is made of bespoke cut marble, rare wood and inlaid stone. She features a hand-painted Pleyel grand piano with its pedal to hinges made of twenty-four carat gold. The vines and flowers are also hand-painted on the tool body, exuding old-world glamour. Everywhere guests may turn, they will always find themselves discovering hidden treasures on board.
AN INNOVATIVE SUPERYACHT
Speaking with AMADEA’s Captain, we learn that the vessel is not just extremely detailed when it comes to the design but also vastly detailed when it comes to how the boat runs. All aspects of her handling and manoeuvring data were predetermined in the build and subsequently proven during the sea trials and delivery. She was built for ocean cruising and behaves exactly as you would expect from an incredible quality build.
Initially built as an innovative superyacht, the vibration and background noises are as loud as a whisper. Due to the high levels of insulation, AMADEA travels unnoticeable. The exhaust emissions and soot are all eliminated due to the installation of HUG filtration system. It is remarkably effective and efficient. In addition, it makes all the difference visually. The level of cutting-edge and customisation in and around the superyacht is spectacular. It is no surprise that she has been built for autonomous and unrestricted cruising.
AMADEA’S highly experienced and dedicated technical team worked alongside Lürssen and the designers at Espen Øino International to make impossible dreams become reality. The significant difference AMADEA offers its Owner and guests is having four very large quantum XT fins with the SMC4000 system. She sits very comfortably at anchor whilst most vessels would need to leave the anchorage. The positioning and manoeuvring systems on the bridge allow us to utilise different thrusters to counter the environmental conditions. No expense has been spared in equipping the vessel to provide the utmost ease and luxury on board. Even before the team took AMADEA out on sea trials, the Captain quotes he was more than confident that her seakeeping abilities would impress and exceed all our expectations. Which she did.
