LA DATCHA receives special commendations by jury at the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards 2021

Monaco, July 6th 2021 – The 77-metre Damen SeaXplorer LA DATCHA impressed the jury of the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards 2021, which met online to debate over outstanding yachts submitted for the prestigious yachting competition earlier on October 2020.

LA DATCHA, a six-deck expedition superyacht built by the highly reputable Dutch shipyard Damen Yachting, received special Judges’ commendations for her exterior design in the range Motor Yachts 60m and above.

The styling created by Azure Naval Architects reflects the ethos of luxury and adventure predetermined in the project. Her powerful and uncompromising purpose-driven look is instantly recognizable among other explorer yachts – a segment which is now booming.

LA DATCHA is IMO Polar Code compliant and can take up to 12 guests to explore the wonders of even the most remote destinatiions. She has a fully certified primary helideck as well as a standby deck for a second chopper. The two helicopters on board provide for extra flexibility when planning the routes and choosing the destinations.
