LILI and ELSEA nominees of the World Superyacht Awards 2018

A successful first step for two iconic superyachts

Organized in Florence, one of the most beautiful cities of Italy, on Saturday, May 19th, the World Superyacht Awards 2018 (or WSA 2018) will be this year again attended by the elite of the superyacht world, owners and industry leaders, who will come together to recognise the finest superyachts launched during the previous year. The Superyacht Industry are invited in the Italian city rich with history and art, nestled under a skyline which is still dominated by the gobsmacking fifteenth-century dome of Santa Maria del Fiore and where every street and building has its own story and significance. In 2017, Imperial was delighted to deliver two iconic superyachts with major players of our industry, and we are proud to announce both of them are nominees at this year World Superyacht Awards!

LILI, the iconic 55-metre Amels, recognized for being of the most customized ever delivered by the Dutch yard. Currently spending her first year of charter between Mediterranean and Indian Ocean, she is competing in the Displacement Motor Yachts Between 500GT and 1,999G category. Following her delivery, Imperial Director Julia Stewart said about her: “She is another striking project jointly made with an experienced team and very talented people, confirming our strong and durable links with Amels over the last eight years. With LILI, Imperial delivers a new superyacht option for high-end luxury journeys at sea with versatile accommodation, Dutch quality and superior level of equipment.” “She is just as her owner envisaged, with custom interiors and exterior styling.” adds Rose Damen, Amels Commercial Director. “A very reliable and comfortable yacht, and already very successful on the charter market”

ELSEA, the very first 50m Fuoriserie superyacht ever delivered by Cerri Cantieri Navali (CCN), is the second nominee from the Imperial pool this year. Competing in the Semi-Displacement or Planing Three Deck Motor Yachts category, ELSEA boasts an incredible exterior line and interiors enhanced with Lalique details. “Imperial is proud to launch the very first custom-made 50m CCN superyacht in strong collaboration with the yard, helping them to upgrade their capacities and reaching a new level in high-end creation.” said Imperial Director Julia Stewart during the delivery of the vessel. CCN’s CEO, Diego Deprati, added: “ELSEA was an important challenge for us as it opens to the shipyard new course. It is the first one-of-a-kind motoryacht which marks CCN’s debut in the world of “Fuoriserie” world-class bespoke projects – unique masterpieces that respond to the customers’ requirement for full customization.”

Imperial boasts a large portfolio of winning-awards or finalists superyachts at the World Superyacht Awards, such as:

  • ARKLEY (Lürssen 60m, winner in 2009);
  • BEL ABRI (Amels 52m, finalist in 2011);

  • ASTRA (Amels 55m, finalist in 2015);

We look forward to the ceremony on Saturday, May 19th, and wish all the best to both vessels and our partners in this competition, expecting both will win the Neptune trophies!
