Created by Asia-Pacific Boating and China Boating magazines in 2005, the annual Asia Boating Awards are the most renowned yachting awards in Asia. This pioneer event is the first ever created to recognise the efforts and successes of Asian yacht builders, as well as companies focusing on the challenging mainland China yachting market. Featuring 26 categories and a shortlist of more than 200 nominees, it includes yacht builders, motor yachts, sailing yachts, regattas, marinas and yacht clubs, as well as personalities and charter companies from across the region, and around the world. Presented during a lavish ceremony on April 11 at ONE°15 Marina, Sentosa Cove, ahead of the Singapore Yacht Show (12–15 April), the 14th edition saw a wide range of regional and international brands being recognised: these trophies serve as a benchmark for the industry in the Asia-Pacific region, which has in a few years become a popular destination for superyachts. Together with Amels, we are pleased to announce our remarkable 55m LILI won in the Best Semi-Custom Built Yacht (above 120ft) category! This milestone is an important one for Imperial, as LILI is the very first superyacht of our fleet ever to awarded a prize in Asia. "As Owner's Representative and Build Supervisor of LILI, acting now as Central Agent for charter of this remarkable superyacht, we are delighted by this honour. LILI is the very first Imperial vessel to be awarded in Asia by yachting professionals" says Julia Stewart, Imperial Director. "This achievement confirms our successful and long-standing partnership with Amels started in 2009, as well as the popularity of the vessel which cruised the South-East Asian waters this winter 2017–18, and will certainly return for more journeys in the region in the near future." Yunzhu Jin, Amels Asia Director, adds: "LILI's owner brought many fresh ideas to the design of the vessel. She is a very personal yacht, but also one that is widely admired and has already proven a popular charter choice. She made a real impression in Asia, with people talking about her everywhere she went." We warmly thank all of those who voted for LILI during the Asia Boating Awards 2018, and we wish LILI and her crew a rich season of charters!
