With her sparkling champagne hull, the 45.7-metre Hokulani is a showstopper in her own right. Designed for an “active and passionate yachtsman who enjoys the spotlight” in a collaboration between the American yard Palmer Johnson and the Italian duo Bugatti and Nuvolari Lenard, Hokulani boasts an accentuated and sporty centre line with perfect symmetry and sweeping curves. Launched by the American yard in 2007, Hokulani is now listed as a yacht for sale with Imperial, whose team have also been dedicated to managing and maintaining her.
Superyacht Times sat down with Alexander Kaev, Sales Broker at Imperial, to get the inside scoop on what makes this superyacht one to watch on the market.
Having been maintained by her professional and highly attentive crew of seven, “Hokulani is the best PJ150 on the market,” commented Imperial broker Alexander Kaev. Revolutionary in her design, Hokulani’s Nuvolari interiors are timeless, spotless and made for an owner who appreciates opulence and style. “She is the number one head-turner alongside the owner’s iconic 911 Carrera Porsche,” describes Kaev.
“As seen for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show, Hokulani has been optimally maintained throughout her life span and successfully completed her ten-year survey last year. Her most recent maintenance works in August 2018 included a new paint job, a fully upgraded AV system with 4K TV’s and new satellite and internet systems, as well as all-new carpets throughout both the crew and guest areas,” he adds.
The saloon, which showcases newly inserted dark wood floors, is the ideal socialising space as guests can curl up on Hokulani’s cosy sofas, have a drink at the bar or enjoy dinner with up to 12 guests. Decked out in a neutral palette of dark and light woods to contrast the monochromatic fabrics, Hokulani has a contemporary indoor environment which is enhanced by the large windows that surround her main saloon. As well as revamped floors, 2019 saw Hokulani ‘s cinema room receive a brand new audio-visual system. Accessible to guests through the large corridor that follows from the main-deck saloon, the cinema room can be privately accessed by the owner from the comfort of their suite.
The lavish full-beam master stateroom on the main deck sports an elegant interior decor with cream accents throughout. The master suite’s saloon is connected to the cinema room, which is positioned adjacent to the staircase leading to the lower level, where the master suite, his-and-her bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe are located. Able to sleep a total of ten guests, Hokulani has four additional staterooms on board: two VIP cabins with double beds and two twin cabins with single beds – all with ensuite facilities. Across Hokulani’s broad main deck, guests can soak up the sun on her lounge area, dine alfresco or unwind on her sun deck with an option for cruising both in the shade and the sun.
In-water entertainment is provided by the large tender, Jet Ski and two Seabobs housed in Hokulani’s hydraulically-powered garage, while her custom swim platform with a lightweight carbon-fibre ladder enables easy access in and out of the water. For her crew of seven, which can be increased to nine during the summer months, Hokulani offers a sleek raised bridge which has been refitted with new upholstery in 2019. The crew mess and galley area has a functional and social layout for crew wellness and provides direct access to the four crew cabins.
