While exhibiting at the 2017 Dubai Yacht Show, Oceanco has unveiled an exciting new superyacht concept. Named AMARA, the 120-metre vessel is designed in collaboration with Sam Sorgiovanni Designs and the shipyard. With socialising at the heart of the concept, AMARA accommodates up to 20 guests in an tastefully decorated and bespoke environment: this aspect is typified on the main deck, which features a pool bar, open balconies and large entertainment areas, as well as on the sun deck, where an open-air cinema awaits. “In designing the exterior lines of AMARA, I wanted to portray a very strong and muscular form that was progressive in design but with a timeless appeal,” says designer Sam Sorgiovanni, who created the yacht with a long bow to accentuate the vessel’s volume. Amongst her stand-out features, AMARA boasts a waterfall which cascades down into the main deck swimming pool, with pool bar, opening balconies and large entertainment areas to make the most of your time on-board. Also designed aboard: an expansive beach club with three-way access to the sea, as well a large wellness area and an additional cinema ready to host up to 16 guests. On the upper deck, the well-thought-out expansive owner’s suite boasts a private plunge pool and an al-fresco dining area which can accommodate more than 20 guests on the aft deck. “In designing the exterior lines of Amara, I wanted to portray a very strong and muscular form that was progressive in design but with a timeless appeal.” said Sorgiovanni. The interior itself is a contemporary take on the yachting lifestyle, with natural timber, stone and textural carpets and fabric blends to create an inviting and natural environment. Oceano distinguishes itself again from the superyacht builders by unveiling an amazing new owner-orientated concept designed to appeal to 21st-century standards.
