Wines to splurge on…
Rosé
The luxurious 2019 Languedoc Cabrières Rosé Clos du Temple is extremely rare to find due to its limited production. The certified organic and biodynamic grapes are handpicked and aged in French oak. There is a beautiful blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier offers a floral notion to the nose with a hint of cedar and strawberries. It is a full-bodied wine on the palate with plenty of richness and a silky texture.
White
The Gaia e Rey, Angelo Gaja 2019 from Tuscany is a powerful yet delicate vintage that takes time to aerate. The wine offers a bouquet of fresh citrus, toasted almond and spice. Only 16,000 bottles were produced, and it is appreciated by the finest palates worldwide.
Red
Richebourg Grand Cru, Domaine de la Romanée Conti 2012 were picked at the end of September and was one of the lowest yields in this vintage. The wine opens up to be more earth than air. It is a bouquet of blackberry pastille balanced by wilted violets and a touch of spiced warmth. Leaving it to breathe for 10 minutes, more complexities are achieved. There are hints of Provencal herbs and even fennel. The palate is medium-bodied and ends with a brightness on the tip of the tongue. Domaine de la Romanée Conti is the most prestigious domain in Burgundy and only 634 cases were produced.

Rosé
The Chateau Minuty Cuvee 281 Rosé 2020 is a blend of 90% Grenache, 7% Cinsault and 3% Syrah. It is a medium-bodied wine on the palate with scents of ripe melon, fraises des bois and a touch of creaminess to its texture. The blue colour that adorns the bottle was named the colour trend of 2020 by the Pantone Color Institute. The 281 refers to this Pantone Blue.
White
The Freestone Chardonnay, Joseph Phelps from 2018 has aged 13 months in 41% new French Oak, opening to notes of salt, crushed nuts, lemon peel and quince. The wine is medium-bodied on the palate with a silky and citrusy opening. This wine can be aged for a few years to gain more character. 2,240 cases were produced of this fine wine.
Red
The 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Quartz, Le Clos du Caillou portrays a characteristic blend of fruits with 85% Grenache and 15% Syrah offering delicious aromas of cherries and raspberries. It is full-bodied yet refined, and its remarkable length makes this wine a very silky and elegant wine to drink.

The 2020 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is a delightful wine balanced with a smooth texture and acidity. The wine has a wide spectrum, featuring elderflowers and nettles with a subtle flavour of passion fruit. This wine is not something to leave to age, it’s best enjoyed now!
Rosé
Whispering Angel Château d'Esclans Rosé – Côtes de Provence 2020 is an iconic vineyard that produces refreshing wines. It is a medium-bodied wine that effortlessly glides on the palate. Tastes of peaches, strawberries and warm spices add to the striking character of this rosé. The Whispering Angel Cuvee was created in 2006 and is one of the best-selling in the world.
Red
The Casanova di Neri 2015 Brunello di Montalcino will give you the taste of a great vintage with its range of aromas from wild berry, liquorice and blue flower. This wine is sourced from a vineyard on the northeast side of Montalcino with soils up to 480-metres above sea level. It was bottled in June 2019 and distributed to the market in January 2020, with 95,376 bottles made.
