Like all leaders in our business, we have gone through a recent period where the yacht industry has been subjected to inquiries from some authorities, but over the past few months, Imperial Yachts has been targeted by numerous unfounded and inaccurate accusations following events that are unrelated to this family owned company and its services.

These events culminated today with the announcement of sanctions on our company by the United States government. The accusations made against us by the U.S. government and in the press are false. We will pursue all available legal remedies to resolve this matter promptly.

Imperial Yachts conducts all its businesses in full compliance with laws and regulations in all jurisdictions in which we operate. We are not involved in our clients’ financial affairs.

We are in the yacht building, management, sale and charter business. That is our focus and what we do. We started this company from nothing, and now, it appears that due to our success, we are unfortunately being targeted by those who would like to bring us down.

We look forward to settling all matters resulting from this turbulent time, as well as disproving the damaging smears made against our company. As always, our focus remains on living up to our established name as an international leader in providing the highest level of excellence for yacht sales, construction, management, and chartering.

Top things to do in Monaco while on charter during the F1 Grand Prix Season 2022

Experiencing Monaco during the Formula 1 Grand Prix is one of the most exciting moments every year. It is even more impressive to witness the event from a superyacht!

Imperial Yachts takes you along with us on the perfect charter journey for this occasion.

Alongside the unparalleled energy of the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix provides some of the finest Spring entertainment that you could ever wish for. The annual Monaco Grand Prix has been a top fixture on the Formula 1 (F1) racing circuit since 1929. Hosted every May, it is one of Monaco’s most prestigious and glamourous events. The Circuit de Monaco is a picturesque street circuit within the Principality, known for witnessing gorgeous cars zip around the stunning harbour.

With Monaco’s beautiful climate and seaside views, it is a naturally scenic and exhilarating place to visit. Land in Nice airport and beat the crowds by hopping on a helicopter and land directly in Monaco after just a short 7-minute scenic flight to your destination. Arriving by helicopter is certainly an entrance worth making for such a magnificent event as the Monaco Grand Prix.

Board your yacht for a warm welcome by your Captain and crew and enjoy a refreshing cocktail while you get settled into your floating quarters surrounded by the local buzz. Step off your yacht in Port Hercules, the centre stage of all the exciting F1 action, and explore the Royal Palace, cinemas, hotels, shops, restaurants, nightclubs and pavilions all within close distance from each other. Monaco is suitable for families, a romantic getaway or solo getaway; it really caters to everyone while keeping its exclusivity. Imperial offers an experience of a lifetime if you choose to charter one of our gorgeous vessels as the blue coastlines, cliffside bays and beaches surrounding Monaco are truly superb to spectate by sea.

Discover the Monegasque Principality
If you are looking for culture, we recommend you visit Monaco’s Old Town on the legendary Rocher. Dating back to the 6th century, Monaco’s Old Town is full of exquisite views, winding alleyways and scenic paths.

Surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea, Monaco’s Old Town is a great way to discover Monaco for the first time. The Museum is definitely a place worth visiting. Established in 1924, it is filled with rich heritage and Monegasque culture.

Open to the public during the Summer months, visiting the Palais de Monaco is an absolutely unmissable thing to do. Built in 1191 as a Genoese fortress, the palace has since been renovated with a variety of complex architectural styles. It is now in a Renaissance style, which is inspired by the European architecture of the period between the early 14th and 16th centuries.

Appreciate the sea and Monaco’s efforts to sustain surrounding marine life by wandering around the incredible Oceanographic Museum, focusing on marine sciences, founded by H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco’s great-great-grandfather Prince Albert I. The museum is globally known for its expertise and displaying more than 6,000 specimens of marine life.

Feeling fortuitous?
How about trying your luck at the infamous Casino de Monte-Carlo. Open from 3:00 pm to 5:00 am, the Monte Carlo Casino is an awesome gambling and entertainment complex offering a wide variety of amenities for its guests to enjoy with its James Bond-esque ambience and Belle Époque architecture.

Fancy a shopping spree?
If gambling is not your thing, Monaco is host to some of the best shopping attractions you will ever find. Sitting on its Golden Square, or Cercle d’Or, we can guide you to some of the finest luxury designer shops in Monaco. If you are looking for something scintillating, head to the streets of Place du Casino where you can find exclusive jewellers such as Cartier, Chopard and Bvlgari to name a few. Or, perhaps if you are looking for the latest fashion pieces, head to the ‘Carre d’Or’, commonly known as the golden square which sits at the heart of Monaco. Here, you will find shops such as Hermès, Céline, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Prada and many more. A touch of retail therapy never hurt anyone.

Enjoy the Monaco nightlife
After a tiring day of shopping on the gorgeous pathways that Monaco has to offer, stop for a glass of bubbly at the American Bar in the Hotel de Paris, enjoy the live music and views of the racetrack, overlooking the harbour and the Prince’s palace in the background. Furthermore, if you fancy a bite to eat, Monaco is home to some incredible restaurants that are sure to delight your palate. Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse, Cipriani, Coya, Buddha Bar and Maya Bay to name a few...

Once the sun has set and you are in the mood for dancing on the tiles, Monaco is known for some of the best nightlife. Jimmy’z is one of the most iconic nightclubs that Monaco has to offer. Since 1971, Jimmy’z has never been more popular amongst its locals and Seasonal visitors. The alfresco area makes Jimmy’z enchanting and appealing; particularly when the weather is so splendid. Another great venue is of course Flavio Briatore’s Twiga Monte Carlo. If you are looking to share a delicious meal with your loved ones coupled with fun live entertainment and stay for some dancing until the early hours, this is the place to go!

Our last recommendation for great nightlife as well as dining is the Sass Café on Avenue Princesse Grace. Originating in 1993, and popular amongst some of the most elite celebrities, Sass Café is the place to experience. With opulent and elegant décor, Sass Café offers a splendid Italian and Mediterranean menu and transforms into a nightclub after dinner, or during, depending on how late you decide to eat. Who would not want the best of both worlds!

Explore what the surroundings have to offer
Aboard your yacht, the opportunities for exploration are endless. Float along the Riviera and take in some of the most exquisite views the South of France has to offer. Take a morning cruise to nearby bay Eze Sur Mer and hop ashore for lunch at Anjuna Bay, popular with locals on Sundays this is the place to be, the perfect pieds dans l’eau mixed with a lively atmosphere and dancing on tables. La Guerite is just off Cannes, situated on one of the Iles de Lerins, a popular Summer seaside restaurant accessible only by boat. Lucky for you the crew will be pleased to anchor opposite and tender you ashore for succulent dishes under the shaded sun, lots of Rose and an incredible atmosphere of music, sea views and dancing in the company of celebrities, and alike.

Looking for a bit of peace and quiet or perhaps a little recuperation from yesterday's shenanigans, head to the Thermes Marins for a little spa therapy, with a heated pool overlooking the harbour and skilled therapists offering an A La Carte menu to suit any desire you may encompass.

May is an incredible time to visit Monaco given the opportunity. From the impressive superyachts bopping in the Monte Carlo harbour to the chiming of champagne glasses and the neighbouring towns, Monaco is full of thrills. With the brilliance of the Monaco Grand Prix, we hope that we can provide you with an excellent yacht charter and memories to last a lifetime.
